- Guest Coaches to notify the Figure Skating Director (Arleen Barton) and The Skating Edge (Leslie Flores) via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) to ask for permission to coach at Skating Edge. Email should include days & times that coaches are planning on teaching along with an estimated number of students. Proof of insurance and USFS Compliance must be emailed to the Figure Skating Director & Skating Edge prior to arrival.
- You will receive approval via email from the Figure Skating Director/The Skating Edge. Once approved, the approval is granted until July 1st of the following year.
- Upon arrival at the facility, Guest Coaches will be asked to sign the Visiting Coaches Agreement.
- All approved Guest Coaches are asked to kindly notify the Figure Skating Director/Skating Edge each time they plan to come to The Skating Edge.
GUEST COACHES MUST ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING:
- $35/day Guest coach pro-fee to be paid upon arrival
- Guest coaches shall maintain professional conduct in accordance with PSA Code of Ethics and Tenets of Professionalism.
- Skaters must pay for ice time before entering the ice.
- Skaters shall wear a program belt when running programs.
- Queue for running programs is in the order of Coach, Coach, Skater.
- Shoes are not allowed on the ice at any time.
- Only private lessons are permitted - ice rental is required for group instruction.
- Off-ice training of any kind is not permitted.
- Guest coaches will have access to the Ballet Room for $15/hour and must be booked with the Skating Director prior to arrival.
- Guest coaches will not have access to the Pro Room.
- Guest coaches are to stay aware of other coaches and skaters on the ice.
- Coaches and students must leave the ice as soon as the zamboni doors are opened and the session is over.
- Guest coaches are not allowed to solicit Skating Edge clientele.
